While there are several new and exciting changes from Chevrolet, the Silverado lineup is one of the best. Complete with new features, a strong performance, and impressive towing and hauling capabilities, here are just some of the highlights that make the 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 one of the most impressive pickups on the market.

What’s New in 2025
For 2025, the base trim of the Silverado features a new universal vehicle module (UVM) that’s available at an additional cost. Two new colors, Riptide Blue Metallic and Cypress Gray, have also been added to the entire Silverado lineup.
Performance, Towing, and Hauling
Featuring Chevy’s signature TurboMax engine, the 2025 Silverado is capable of generating 310 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. The 8-speed automatic transmission comes with two features, Cruise Grade Braking and Powertrain Grade Braking, which can automatically slow the truck so it maintains a set speed when traveling downhill.
The Silverado also utilizes a Tow/Haul mode, which gives more power to acceleration when the truck is hauling heavier cargo. Engine compression is also used to assist with braking. Combined, these features allow the 2025 Silverado to haul up to 6,800 lbs (GVWR). Two frame-mounted black recovery hooks are also included to assist with towing.
Design
On the outside, 17-inch steel wheels and all-season blackwall tires ensure the Silverado can handle any terrain. Meanwhile, IntelliBeam headlights will light up any dark road and can automatically turn the truck’s high beams on while traveling faster than 25 mph. Cab-mounted cargo area lamps are also included to keep the cargo bed illuminated when needed.
The inside features a 40/20/40 split-bench front seat and a 60/40 split-folding rear bench that brings the total seating capacity up to six. Meanwhile, vinyl trim makes for a smooth, comfortable ride while the front’s under-seat storage lets you keep your belongings secure on the road.
Safety Features
Chevy has included the latest and greatest in driver assistance technology. Automatic emergency braking, as well as front pedestrian braking, are included. These programs help reduce the likelihood of collisions by automatically applying brake pressure if an object or pedestrian is detected.
An electronic safety control system known as StabiliTrak automatically enhances control during emergency maneuvers by adjusting the truck’s brakes and engine torque. It also includes traction control that can detect wheel slippage on wet or snow-covered roads.
The Silverado 1500 is a strong, reliable pickup truck that should make the top of your list in 2025.
